Due to expansion on our family farm, we require a full-time tractor driver & a part-time tractor driver.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
You will be working in field operations as part of a team planting, harvesting, and transporting potatoes, vegetables & grain back to the yard/pack house and working as part of a team.
You will be applying practical skills in potato planting/harvesting and turnip planting and harvesting.
Key Areas Of The Role
Tasks ranging from ploughing, tilling, bed forming, and trailer/road work
You will manage processes and systems for both manual and automated tractors. The tractors we are currently running are all New Holland ranges with GPS systems if needed.
Forklift driving is also required; if not trained, training can be provided.
Requirements
The work involves a range of tractor driving throughout the year. Suitable applicants will ideally have previously worked in the agricultural/horticultural sector, and having a good understanding of the work involved is an advantage but not a requirement.
Own transport (bike, car, lift) is essential
Forklift experience - a bonus but not essential
