With the decline in the incidence of TB in later years, more accommodation became available for other services. In 1963, at the request of the Department of Health, a residential unit for people with an intellectual disability was opened. * Hours of Work - 35 Hours – the allocation of these hours will be at the discretion of the Department Head and in accordance with needs of service
* Department - Occupational Therapy
* Location of Post - Peamount Healthcare, Newcastle, Co. Dublin
* Working Model - Fully Onsite
* Remuneration - Current salary scale with effect from 1st August 2025: €44,563 (point 1) to €63,786 (point 14).
* Annual Leave - As per Health Service Executive (HSE) - 27 Days

PURPOSE OF THE POST
The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for the provision of a high quality person-centred Occupational Therapy service to a designated clinical area(s) and will carry out clinical, educational and administrative duties as assigned by the Senior Occupational Therapist/Occupational Therapy Manager.
