About Us

Fehily Timoney and Company is one of Ireland's largest Irish-owned consultants with centres of excellence in Sustainable Infrastructure, Circular Economy, Environment, and Energy Planning.

We provide planning, environmental studies, preliminary planning design to our clients in the renewable energy sector and provide design and contract management services for the construction of infrastructure projects such as roads, greenways, bridgeworks, rail, solid waste facilities, renewable energy, drainage, water and wastewater treatment facilities, airports, tunnels and gas pipelines.

Our team works closely with fellow professionals to aid the expansion of the Energy and Planning business and offer exposure to a broad range of areas within the renewable energy, circular economy, environment and sustainable infrastructure sectors.

Job Description

* To manage individual contracts to deliver high-quality ecological consultancy services.
* Provide expert ecological input for a range of projects.
* Plan, conduct and supervise the execution of site ecological surveys and fieldwork.
* Prepare and monitor the implementation of Construction Environmental Management Plans.
* Undertake Appropriate Assessments and Ecological Impact Assessments (Ec IAs), Biodiversity Chapters for Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs) and other environmental reporting requirements.
* Write technical reports and other deliverables.
* Manage quality including attention to detail and accuracy, delivery of contracts on time and to the highest possible standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

* A degree in ecology or related subject.
* A minimum of five years postgraduate experience.
* Consultancy experience is desirable.
* Member of CIEEM, CIWEM or equivalent professional body.
* Detailed knowledge of wildlife and conservation legislation within Ireland.
* Excellent technical report writing skills.
* Experience in preparing Appropriate Assessments and Ecological Impact Assessments.
* Experience in working in multi-disciplinary teams.
* Excellent communication, organisational and project management skills.
