About Your New Job
As the
Mechanical Design Engineer
, you will play a key role in designing and optimising customised distribution transformers in line with client specifications. Reporting directly to the Head of Design, you will also collaborate closely with R&D, production, and other departments.
Your main duties will include:
* Preparing specifications, drawings, and technical details for customers and factory use.
* Coordinating prototype manufacturing and supporting design implementation on the production floor.
* Working with R&D to optimise designs and improve efficiency.
* Ensuring all technical specifications and quality standards are met and maintained.
What Skills You Need
* Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
* Strong proficiency with design packages (e.g., CREO).
* Experience in a manufacturing environment and familiarity with best practices.
* Good knowledge of internal standards, quality conformance metrics, and ideally SAP.
* Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
