Job Overview
The ideal candidate will be an advanced maintenance professional with a strong background in asset management and maintenance procedures. This senior role requires the ability to lead by example, support company policy and procedures, and create a well-coordinated and efficient working environment.
This position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor and is responsible for supporting the maintenance team in maintaining equipment uptime. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as experience in mentoring junior staff.
Main Responsibilities:
* Support maintenance technicians and apprentices in maintaining equipment uptime.
* Liaise with production on line improvement projects.
* Assist with commissioning of new machinery.
* Provide training to technicians and operators.
* Assist with evaluation of existing PMs and modify where necessary.
* On-call support and attend site if necessary.
* Fully support the team leaders/line support i.e. on shift cover, with phone support & on callouts
* Support maintenance leaders with regards to projects, improvement plans, audit preparation, and the maintenance works plans.
Requirements:
* Minimum two years' experience as a maintenance technician.
* Demonstrated ability in fault-finding and downtime issue resolution.
* Machine knowledge in core processing equipment – thermoformers, bagging machines, multi-headed weighers, and cooking & freezing assets.
* Experience in mentoring junior staff and having the ability to transfer technical knowledge.
* Experience in managing contractor staff.
