About the Role
We are seeking experienced and detail-oriented payroll professionals to join our team as Global Payroll Lead, Subject Matter Expert.
In this role, you will be the ultimate subject matter expert for payroll in your region of expertise (France).
You will ensure our customers are supported, and our internal teams are enabled with the knowledge they need to succeed.
This is a critical role that blends deep technical payroll knowledge with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
What will you do?
Become a product expert over our Global Payroll (and other HR) capabilities for French customers
Create content and documentation to cover the existing product behaviour, update for changes and build FAQs to support internal enablement
Analyse support interactions to build a POV on the quality of the support interactions
Interface with the country Product Manager to share support volume trends, drivers of bad customer interactions, and compliance issues
Act as a resource to Customer Support Specialists on regionally nuanced interactions for your country of expertise
Step into escalated customer interactions to resolve issues by leveraging platform and industry expertise
Required qualifications (France)
5+ years of hands-on French payroll experience, preferably in a payroll provider, HR software company, or in-house payroll function (e.g., Pégase, Sopra HR, ADP, or similar).
Deep knowledge of French payroll regulations, including social security contributions ( Cotisations Sociales ) and mandatory monthly/annual declarations such as
DSN (Déclaration Sociale Nominative)
,
Rectificative DSN
, and
BRC (Bilan Récapitulatif des Cotisations)
.
Strong understanding of income tax deducted directly from salary (
PAS - Prélèvement à la Source
), payroll processing, and the structure of the
Bulletin de Paie
.
Experience engaging with and handling inquiries from French authorities like
URSSAF
and tax agencies.
Ability to interpret and apply French labor laws as they relate to payroll (e.g., Convention Collective Nationale, rules for congés payés, prévoyance ).
Strong client-facing skills with experience managing enterprise client relationships.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot payroll discrepancies.
Fluency in French and English (written and spoken).
