Quantity Surveyor - Buildings Contractor - Donegal

Our client is one of Ireland's leading Civil & Building Contractors with operations throughout the country.
They are seeking to appoint a QS to join the building team based in Letterkenny, Donegal.
Responsibilities include:
* Advise on contractual matters – general and project level.
* Process contractual claims and all associated records.
* Look for opportunities to maximise revenue and reduce costs, and identify and investigate losses.
* Assist with project cash management.
* Advise and support with project correspondence.
* Negotiate and agree subcontractors and suppliers’ prices and terms.
* Ensure final accounts are closed in a timely manner.
* Ensure timely drafting of commercial/contractual correspondence.
* Prepare subcontract and supplier documents.
* Prepare and review monthly cost reports.
* Review and update risk registers, variation trackers, and extension of time tracker sheets monthly, including in reports.
* Negotiate subcontractors and suppliers' final accounts.
* Handle variations: measurement, pricing, negotiations with clients, QS, and subcontractors.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in previous roles.
* Experience in establishing project cost reporting structures.
* Ability to prepare, submit, and agree on interim valuations with Employers' Representatives.
* Excellent working knowledge of COINS.
* Experience managing project cash flow.
* Track record in preparing and presenting monthly commercial reports.
* Experience in contractual claims preparation and submission.
* Procurement and management of subcontractors and suppliers.
* Understanding and adherence to contractual obligations.
* Maintaining good relations with clients and their representatives.
* Protecting the company's interests.
Package
* Salary €55k - €80k depending on experience
