Copper + Straw
Copper + Straw is an independent Irish coffee company that has been serving speciality coffee for over seven years. We now operate three coffee shops, with another opening in the coming months, and we're looking for passionate baristas to join our growing team.
Role Summary
We're looking for an experienced barista to join our team. You must have at least 12 months' experience as a barista, with strong milk texturing skills and a good level of latte art.
The Barista will greet customers, take orders and accept payments, and prepare and serve food and drinks. You will also maintain a clean and well-stocked workspace and dining area, update displays, and continuously expand your knowledge of food and beverage quality controls, preparation methods, and presentation.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Always provide customers with the highest levels of service.
* Receive and process customer payments.
* Make coffee and tea using a variety of brewing methods.
* Prepare food menu items and serve them to customers.
* Adhere to Copper + Straw recipes and quality control measures when making and serving drinks and food.
* Continually enhance your knowledge of coffee, with a particular emphasis on learning about the technical aspects of making coffee and all the various factors that impact on taste and quality.
* Order, receive, and stock supplies and retail products.
* Set-up and restock product displays.
* Regularly clean workspaces and the coffee shop. This involves, for example, emptying bins, cleaning equipment, washing dishes and utensils, brushing and mopping floors, cleaning windows and the shop front, and cleaning toilets.
* Adhere to all food safety regulations and quality controls.
* Ensure all required tasks are completed promptly and efficiently when opening and closing the coffee shop.
* Work at Copper + Straw special events as needed.
* Undertake any other role related duties deemed reasonable by your Manager.

* Availability to work around peak hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and Public Holidays.

Pay: €13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 31 – 36 per week
