As a
Data Engineer
you will help develop and run the IAS Publisher Measurement team's data pipeline that ingests, correlates, aggregates and outputs millions of events. You'll be part of a small, focused, team getting things done. You should be eager to learn new technologies and collaboration is key. This is a chance to be a technical leader for the data pipeline related work within the Publisher team.
What you'll get to do:
* Plan delivery of data pipelines and API endpoints for IAS (Integral Ad Science) product offerings of the Publisher team
* Architect and build data pipelines and data stores specialized for data science needs
* Design architecture to streamline data science processes
* Design and implement systems for large-scale data analysis
* Build tools and frameworks for use across the data science and data engineering teams
* Define and implement best practices and development processes, ensuring alignment with IAS standards and governance models
* Establish secure and scalable access methods for data consumers across the IAS data platform
* Partner with engineering teams on deployments of data science driven solutions
You should apply if you have most of this:
* Bachelors or Masters in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related fields
* 3–5 years of professional experience in designing and implementing large scale, data-driven applications
* Excellent hands-on coding - with demonstrable expertise in Java, Scala, or Python
* In-depth understanding of algorithms, scalability and various tradeoffs in a Big Data setting
* Expertise in Big Data frameworks and MPP databases, including Hadoop, Spark, Redshift, Vertica, and Snowflake, with specific exposure and experience in Databricks and dabs for building scalable pipelines, performing complex data assembly and transformation, and enabling large-scale analytics in alignment with IAS best practices.
* Knowledge of database technology, SQL, schema design and query optimization techniques
* Understanding of full software development life cycle, agile development and continuous integration
* Ability to communicate clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, verbally and in writing
* Experience in Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
What puts you over the top:
* Digital advertising or web technology experience
* Experience working with AWS Analytics technologies
* Experience working with Apache Airflow
* Exposure to foundation models, including experimentation, model evaluation, and integration into production grade systems with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.
* Experience implementing and optimizing machine learning algorithms for data-driven applications
