With the increasing complexity of construction projects, there is a growing need for skilled professionals who can oversee costs and ensure timely completion. We are seeking to recruit an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying and at least 3 years of post-graduate experience. They will be responsible for preparing cost estimates throughout the design and tender stages, as well as advising clients on procurement strategies. The successful candidate must be able to optimise project costs, implement value engineering, and ensure value for money while maintaining high standards and quality.
The role involves:
• Preparation of cost estimates during various stages of the design and tender processes;
• Preparation of tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities, schedules of rates etc.;
• Advising clients on procurement and tendering strategies;
• Assisting with the implementation of Value Engineering opportunities;
• Performing risk and value management, and cost control;
• Contract administration of various forms of Works Contracts;
• Preparation and analysis of tender costings;
• Managing change orders;
• Preparing and agreeing final accounts;
We require a BSc Level 8 Degree in Quantity Surveying, or equivalent qualification, with at least 3+ years of experience preferably within a consultancy practice. Proficient Excel, Cubit and Buildsoft skills are essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and strong construction knowledge are also required.
