Location: Dublin, Mulhuddart
Role purpose: The In-Process Quality Control Chemist provides analytical support to the 24/7 manufacturing operations at Guerbet Dublin. This involves using a variety of analytical techniques during a Panama Shift pattern (12-hour shifts on a fixed rotation). Additional testing responsibilities include testing raw materials.
Your Responsibilities:
* Perform In-Process control activities to support API manufacturing, including chromatographic techniques, equipment control and calibration, and peer review.
* Perform QC analysis of raw material bulk tankers.
* Record results accurately and interpret them correctly.
* Apply laboratory techniques and methods to verify manufacturing process control and product quality.
* Train other QC analysts in laboratory methods and procedures as needed.
* Work in compliance with cGMP standards.
* Escalate OOS/OOT results and other non-conformances, assisting with investigations.
* Follow EHS procedures and policies applicable to the site and laboratory.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Site Quality Lead, QC Lead, or Quality Control Supervisor.
Education Requirements:
* A third-level degree in Quality or Science discipline.
Experience:
* Previous industrial experience is not essential but 6-12 months relevant experience is advantageous.
* Familiarity with HPLC, GC, and other analytical instrumentation is advantageous.
* LIMS/Empower experience is beneficial.
* Good computer skills are required.
