The Business Development Manager will be part of a wider sales team responsible for both proactive new business development and account management. The role primarily focuses on generating and managing a sustainable pipeline of new customer work aligned with the company's strategic goals. This involves market research, engaging with key stakeholders and potential partners, and developing action plans to convert opportunities into tenders and sales.
Duties will include:
1. Business intelligence:
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand the security environment, sectors, and emerging opportunities.
- Conduct research on the company's sectors, customers, and opportunities.
2. Client relationships:
- Leverage existing networks to generate opportunities for tenders and sales.
- Lead and support client relationships, ensuring strategic management and delivery.
- Engage with sectors and customers to identify opportunities and position Evolution advantageously.
- Demonstrate success in new business wins, especially within IP/Analytics and integrated security sectors.
- Maintain a track record in business development and account retention within large corporate sectors.
- Adopt a consultative approach to foster new opportunities.
- Understand security system design for integrated systems.
- Build relationships with security suppliers and manufacturers.
- Develop external communication and engagement programs.
- Participate in networking events to enhance Evolution's profile.
