Stewarts Care is a long-established voluntary organisation, funded by the HSE under Section 38.
We support people with intellectual disabilities through residential care, day services, independent living, job advocacy, and vocational training.
Purpose of the Post
Reporting to the Communications Manager, the Communications Officer will, on a permanent whole-time contract, support the delivery of clear, engaging internal and external communications that promote the organisation's services, values, and strategic priorities.
The role assists in developing content across multiple platforms to enhance communications competency of the organisation, drive engagement with our key messages, and enhance our profile amongst key stakeholders.
Experience and Qualifications
Applicants should demonstrate relevant experience in communications.
Experience delivering clear, accessible messaging to diverse audiences across multiple communication channels is essential.
Essential Criteria
A relevant third-level qualification (minimum Level 7 QQI) in Communications, Business, Marketing, PR, and/or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience providing administrative support to managers and multiple stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience in content creation, including drafting high-quality written and visual materials such as articles, briefings, newsletters, reports, and social media posts.
Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholder relationships.
Strong IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
Desirable
Experience using graphic design tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) to produce digital and print materials.
Experience managing or contributing to social media content creation and curation.
Experience working with external suppliers, such as printers, designers, photographers, or media contacts.

Salary
In line with the Department of Health consolidated pay scales, the current salary scale is Grade IV (Clerical); €36,109 - €55,463 per annum (incl. LSI).
