Responsibilities
Conduct wedding show-arounds, both prearranged and walk-ins
Follow up wedding enquiries/leads via telephone, email, Zoom calls in line with sales strategy
Prepare and provide quotes, contracts and wedding information for couples
Coordinate and maintain the booking diary
Actively achieve budgeted wedding sales targets within the Sales team
Manage external wedding websites such as weddingsonline, Once Fab Day, etc.
Compile and update wedding reports
Be the point of contact and maintain customer relationships—both new and existing—to ensure first-class personal service
Prepare accurate and detailed wedding information and communicate all details to the relevant departments
Welcome couples on arrival on their wedding day
Plan and assist in the execution of wedding fairs/showcases in the hotel
Attend fairs, showcases and events in the wedding industry
Book and liaise with external suppliers
This role is a full-time position, 5 days per week, including weekends
Work with the Sales team to assist, when necessary, with any other events as required
Requirements for the role
Minimum 2 years’ previous experience in wedding planning, event coordination or a related role within the hospitality industry
Strong organisational and time-management skills to handle multiple weddings and events simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with clients, vendors and hotel staff
Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring flawless execution of weddings and events
Creativity and an eye for design to contribute unique ideas and enhance the overall event experience
Problem-solving capabilities to handle any challenges that may arise during wedding and event planning and execution
Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends based on event schedules
Proficiency in using event planning software, online tools, and Microsoft Office applications
Knowledge of wedding and event trends, traditions and industry best practices
Customer-centric mindset and a genuine passion for creating memorable experiences for clients and their guests
Ability to work on own initiative while being a team player
