Project Enginer An exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to join a fast-growing process engineering company serving high-profile clients across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, beverage, food, and dairy sectors. This role offers strong responsibility, customer interaction, and the opportunity to contribute across the full project lifecycle-from design to commissioning. The Company A long-established, privately-owned engineering business based in Co. Cork, this company is a recognised market leader in the design, fabrication, installation, and distribution of high-spec process equipment and systems. Organised into three business units (Process Engineering Systems, Mechanical Installation, and Process Equipment Sales), the company continues to grow year-on-year, both in scale and complexity of projects. The Role As Project Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and delivering bespoke process engineering solutions. Working on a wide variety of high-spec skids and systems, you will either lead small-medium projects or support senior engineers on larger ones. This role combines technical engineering with procurement, customer interaction, and on-site commissioning. Key responsibilities include: Developing conceptual designs and technical proposals to meet client needs. Executing detailed engineering across process, mechanical, and instrumentation disciplines. Supporting electrical and control design inputs. Procuring materials and subcontractor services. Overseeing drawing preparation and ensuring technical accuracy. Supporting on-site safety, quality, and commissioning activities. Maintaining strong communication with internal teams and external clients. The Person You are a technically confident and self-motivated engineer with a background in delivering complex process systems and a strong desire to grow professionally within a high-performing team. You will bring: 3-5 years of engineering experience in the process engineering sector, preferably pharmaceutical, biotech, beverage, or dairy sectors. A degree in Mechanical, Process, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent). Experience with process/mechanical contractors or fabrication is desirable. A strong work ethic and attention to detail with a commitment to getting it right first time. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Initiative and the ability to multi-task in a dynamic project environment. A desire for technical and professional development.
