This role would suit a confident bookkeeper with previous experience in a practice environment who is looking to broaden their skills and join a supportive and professional team.
Key Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day bookkeeping support to a diverse portfolio of SME clients Process sales and purchase invoices, reconcile bank accounts, and manage petty cash Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with current legislation and requirements Use cloud-based software such as Xero, Quick Books, and Sage for bookkeeping and reporting Assist with management accounts and support senior accountants at year-end Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients Respond to client queries in a timely and professional manner Requirements: Proven experience in a similar bookkeeping role within an accountancy practice Strong knowledge of accounting principles and VAT Competent in the use of accounting platforms (Xero, Quick Books, Sage etc) AAT qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Confident communicator with a client-focused approach Able to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines efficiently Whats on Offer: Competitive salary based on experience Flexible working options, including hybrid arrangements Ongoing training and professional development opportunities A friendly, team-oriented working environment The opportunity to grow with a forward-thinking and expanding practice Interested?
