Job Description:
Qualifications:
* Must have a background in Track & Field.
* Must have basic knowledge of fundamentals in all field events and running.
* Willing to work closely with high school varsity coaches to implement the fundamentals as prescribed by the Varsity Track program.
* Ability to design and implement short-term and long-term goals for the entire track program, maintaining principles suitable for Middle School athletes.
* Design daily and weekly practice schedules with specific goals for team and individual development.
* Work with high school coaches in conducting home track meets, including high school events.
* Communicate effectively with players, parents, and administration.
* Model appropriate behavior, promoting the social, emotional, and moral well-being of CPS student-athletes.
* Obtain First Aid certification before the start of the 2025 season.
* Obtain CPR certification before the start of the 2025-2026 season.
* Be CAP 1 or CAP 2 trained by the start of the 2025-2026 season.
* Adhere to the Athletic Code for Coaches as stated in the MHSAA Handbook.
* Pass a background check.
Preferred qualifications:
* Experience managing fundraising activities for a program.
* Coaching experience of 2+ years.
* Willingness to obtain a CDL License or currently possess one.
