Since first opening our doors in 2005, Autism Initiatives Ireland has provided specialist autism services for adults across our Residential, Respite, Day, and Community Support Services.

The successful candidate will be afforded all necessary training and development in line with the role, including a detailed induction before joining the service.
Responsibilities
* Provide support to people with autism with complex needs in line with their PCP and care plan.
* Work on own initiative and adapt communication to suit individual needs.
* Deliver services in accordance with person-centred plans, placing the needs of the person supported at the core of all activities.
* Support daily living activities and routines including personal care where required.
* Assist people to engage in their communities and develop new skills.
* Support people to understand their rights and help them make informed decisions.
* Attend to rota-based schedules including evenings, weekends and waking night duties.
Qualifications
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Awareness of the Key Worker/Support Worker role and philosophy surrounding support to people with complex needs
* Programme planning and person-centred plans
* Places the needs of the person supported as the key focus in all activities
* Delivers support according to the person’s PCP and care plan
* Fluent English and excellent communication skills
* Full, clean manual driving licence (manual) essential
Schedule
Staff are required to work shifts on a rota basis including evenings and weekends and waking night duty shifts.
