Assistant Lecturer Agricultural Mechanics/Engineering
This is an exciting opportunity to join our academic team as an Assistant Lecturer in Agricultural Mechanics/Engineering. The successful candidate will play a key role in teaching, research, and academic administration.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teaching assigned classes, including supervision of post-graduate students where appropriate;
* Carrying out assessment, monitoring and evaluation of examinations work;
* Providing academic input on existing and new courses and course development;
* Engaging in research, consultancy and development work as appropriate;
* Participating in committees appropriate to courses and meetings convened by management;
Requirements:
* Appropriate honours primary degree(s) (second class or higher) in an Agricultural Engineering related discipline or equivalent;
* Completion of an appropriate full trade apprenticeship in Agricultural Mechanics/Heavy Plant or equivalent and passed all the associated Examinations including appropriate post-apprenticeship qualifications or equivalent;
* Three years relevant post-qualification experience;
Desirable Skills:
* Experience in all aspects of relevant practice;
* Practice experience of workshop practice;
* Leadership experience;
* Knowledge and experience of health & safety regulations;
