Internal Sales Engineer

We are looking for an Internal Sales Engineer to join us and strengthen our customer relationships and technical sales capabilities at Endress+Hauser Ireland. Based in Kill, Co. Kildare, our local team combines deep technical knowledge with a strong customer focus to deliver trusted solutions across diverse industries.

If so, this role offers the perfect blend of technical insight, customer interaction, and teamwork. As an Internal Sales Engineer, you'll work within our Sales Centre, collaborating closely with external sales, engineering, logistics, and commercial teams. You'll play a key role in supporting our customers from initial inquiry to order completion — ensuring every experience reflects our values of quality, reliability, and partnership.

Which tasks will you perform?

You will:

* Drive sales from the office by proactively engaging with existing and potential clients through phone, email, and virtual meetings, aligning solutions with customer needs and project requirements.
* Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing timely support, technical guidance, and regular follow-ups to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
* Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of our product portfolio, industry trends, and competitor offerings to effectively position our solutions and respond to technical inquiries.
* Prepare accurate and competitive quotations, proposals, and tender documents in collaboration with engineering and commercial teams, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and internal standards.
* Manage the complete sales process — from initial inquiry through to order processing — coordinating with logistics, production, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution and on-time delivery.
* Support negotiations on pricing, delivery schedules, and technical details, escalating complex or non-standard requests to senior management when necessary.
* Maintain accurate sales records and pipeline updates in Salesforce, ensuring data integrity, visibility, and reliable reporting for management and forecasting.
* Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and continuous improvement through regular account reviews and post-sale follow-ups.
Represent Endress+Hauser in outbound marketing activities such as telemarketing, email outreach, and virtual events to promote new products and services.

What do we expect from you?

You:

* Hold a Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline) to effectively understand and communicate technical product specifications.
* Ideally bring prior experience in technical sales, internal sales, or customer support, though full training and ongoing development support will be provided.
* Have strong administrative competence, with proven ability to manage tasks accurately — including order processing, CRM updates, and documentation.
* Communicate clearly and confidently, both verbally and in writing, with technical and non-technical audiences.
* Demonstrate a customer-focused mindset, proactively engaging with clients and building lasting relationships.
* Are proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce), with a willingness to learn new tools.
Possess strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, working independently and collaboratively.
