A leading global innovative biologics company specialising in the manufacture of animal health products has expanded their Irish operations in recent years, increasing their footprint here with over 400 employed across their 4 sites. This new position has come about as a result of a new building opening for this midlands-based manufacturing business.
This Manufacturing Engineering position has become available due to growth on this Wicklow based site.
The Role
As Process Engineer for manufacturing systems, you will report into the Site Engineering Manager and assist with activities associated with the site's core plant equipment.
You will be responsible for:
* Process equipment change controls as required for various processes within the site to ensure continuity.
* Ensure that all plant equipment is maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements.
* Assess corrective maintenance activities, evaluating their impact on equipment validation status and potential contamination risks.
* Ensure the accuracy of Instrument Criticality Assessments and confirm calibration tolerances and operational ranges are appropriately defined and documented.
* Assess equipment and systems to design improved efficiency projects for the site.
* Maintain equipment and all systems consistently to avoid down-time.
* Use route cause analysis to complete investigations as require and identify RTF solutions.
* Work with the change control process to ensure any changes are captured and completed effectively.
The Person
The successful candidate will have an Engineering Degree. Other requirements include:
* Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a biologics manufacturing environment preferably.
* Demonstrated knowledge of calibration programs and instrumentation troubleshooting.
* Collaborative approach to work with the ability to influence and guide others.
* In depth knowledge of managing change-controls.
