Overview
As a BIM Technician, you will work with engineers and project teams to produce detailed 3D BIM models and coordinated MEP drawings using Revit and related software tools. You will support the design and coordination of building services systems in line with project requirements and industry standards.
Responsibilities
* Produce detailed and accurate 3D models for mechanical and electrical building services using Revit and AutoCAD.
* Work with project engineers to develop coordinated BIM models for all building services.
* Prepare drawing sets for all project stages, including tender, construction, and as-built documentation.
* Support BIM project setup, including model maintenance, templates, and content libraries.
* Participate in clash detection processes using tools like Navisworks, and coordinate with other disciplines (architectural, structural).
* Ensure compliance with company BIM standards and client-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEP).
* Assist in developing and maintaining BIM workflows and processes to improve productivity and quality.
* Collaborate across internal teams and with external consultants and contractors.
Requirements
* Minimum 2–4 years’ experience as a BIM Technician in an M&E or building services environment.
* Proficiency in Revit MEP is essential; experience with AutoCAD, Navisworks, and BIM 360 is an advantage.
* Familiarity with mechanical and electrical services layouts, schematics, and coordination techniques.
* Knowledge of BIM standards and protocols (e.g., PAS 1192 / ISO 19650).
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Relevant technical qualification (e.g., Building Services, Engineering, or Architectural Technology).
