Veolia is a leading environmental services company in Ireland. We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Health and Safety Officer, responsible for safeguarding the well-being of individuals on site.
The Role
As a key member of our construction team, you will actively manage risks, ensure compliance with legislation, client policies, and employer procedures. Your primary responsibility will be to promote a strong safety culture through preventative measures (identifying hazards) and responsive actions (investigating incidents).
Main Responsibilities:
tagulate an effective health & safety strategy at all levels within the organization
Safeguard employees' well-being by identifying & mitigating potential dangers
Investigate accidents & report findings on actions taken for improvement purposes.
- Work closely with management & staff to foster awareness about workplace hazards.
- Provide specialist guidance/ instruction in managing high safety standards throughout construction operations
Implement HSQE systems ensuring legal requirements are met
Oversee HS QE reporting needs
Ensure workers understand their roles within maintaining safe working environments
Manage record keeping - audits inspect site conditions everyday monitor progress task performance assist managers develop solutions eliminate issues driven innovative strategies continuously enhance overall organizational results continually update knowledge apply new methods think outside box inspire others bring expertise improve processes deliver excellence drive vision.
