Ergo is seeking an IT Security Specialist for an exciting opportunity with a well-known client in Galway .
The IT Security Specialist will be a hands-on Engineer responsible for Security risk assessment, management and mitigation in relation to network, cloud, server and information environments.
Experience in IT Auditing, vulnerability assessments and gap analysis as per ISO***** and NIS2 are also preferred.
This is a permanent role requiring one or two days per week onsite.
What will you do?
Implement and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures (ISO*****, NIS2).
Conduct regular system audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability testing.
Collaborate with all departments to promote best security practices.
Monitor, analyse, and respond to security alerts and incidents.
Ensure network security is in line with market standards using firewalls, intrusion detection systems, endpoint protection platform, and encryption tools.
Oversee the management of the system backups and DR procedures.
Detecting, analysing, and responding to security breaches.
Log analysis and digital forensics
You should have experience in the following:
Network and endpoint security, identity management, and compliance standards.
SIEM tools and incident response workflows.
Network Security, Firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, Endpoint protection, DLP, Vulnerability scanners, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Active Directory, LDAP, Role-based access control (RBAC), MFA.
Cloud Security and Azure & AWS security best practices.
One or more of the following certifications is desirable:
Bachelor's Degree
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
CompTIA Security+.
GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC).
