Job Description
An Associate R&D Engineer is required by Careerwise recruitment to work with our Galway based medical device manufacturing client. 18 months contract position.
Role of this position
1. Generate device concepts within the project team to address product performance criteria.
2. Build and test prototypes; analyse test data and interpret to identify optimal solutions to technical challenges.
3. Create detailed component and finished device assembly drawings/specifications using SolidWorks.
4. Contribute to the project team to deliver key objectives, meeting performance, time and cost targets.
5. Leverage and liaise with external vendors / resources to achieve project goals.
6. Write procedures, protocols, specifications, and reports.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
7. Honours degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering or equivalent.
8. Approximately 12 months experience in a medical device design or manufacturing environment.
9. Design experience with SolidWorks, prototyping, testing.
10. Strong knowledge of fundamental engineering principles.
