Job Description:
This role is based in Dublin, Ireland, and is for an Associate Director/Senior Hydrologist within the Water and Flood Risk Management sector.
The successful candidate will support major flood risk management projects, flood relief schemes, and other civil engineering projects focused on climate change adaptation and resilience.
The role involves leading technical tasks, mentoring junior staff, and engaging in capacity building within hydrological techniques.

The role involves diverse projects, helping to expand our flood resilience services both in Ireland and internationally.
Requirements and skills:
Degree/MSc in hydrology or equivalent
Strong relevant professional experience
Professional qualification (CEng, CSci, etc.) with IEI, CIWEM, ICE or equivalent, or working towards professional status
High competency with WINFAP, FEH, FSR, FSU, and similar hydrological assessment methodologies
Senior experience on flood risk and water resources projects in the UK or Ireland
Passion for the environment and sustainability
Proven track record in managing, mentoring, and training junior engineers
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in project appraisal and technical report writing, including flood risk assessments and hydrology chapters for EIARs
Proactive team player
Desirable skills include hydraulic modelling expertise (Mike, flood modeller, InfoWorks), ArcGIS experience, and water quality knowledge.
Required skills encompass sustainability, analysis, civil engineering, mentoring, interpersonal skills, recruiting, risk management, software engineering, business training, and management.
