Are you a multi-talented Technical Support Engineer with cross-disciplinary skills and experience perhaps in the CCTV/ Alarms/Turnstiles/Sensors sector? If you have technical support/installation experience with high-level security clearance throughout NI and Ireland, and are looking to step up into a specialized role, training in advanced, cutting-edge technology, read on:
Hours 8am-4pm or start slightly later 9:30am if you wish. Monday to Friday. Role split 50:50 out and about or working in with the Bench engineers and s/w Engineers setting up rigs etc with very bespoke technology.
The Role
Main Duties:
* As a key member of the Operations Team, you will install, configure, test, maintain, and support our systems at customer sites, including hardware, software, cabling configuration, and testing.
* You will provide a quality on-site and remote technical support service to internal and external customers, follow customer issues through to completion to ensure resolution and customer satisfaction have been achieved.
* You will take a proactive approach to support, implementing contingency procedures to improve service.
* You will contribute to the ongoing development of both existing and future products.
* As a key channel between the customer and Development Team, you will feedback customer improvement ideas for evaluation.
* Excited by technology, you will keep up to date with current and future technology.
* Carry the support phone on an agreed rota basis and provide out-of-hours assistance to staff, customers, and strategic partners.
* Contribute to the evaluation of new technologies and software products as relevant to the development of Lava Group products.
* Work with the Project Manager to ensure the successful implementation of key projects.
* Provide pre-sales support, e.g., facilitate product demonstrations and trade shows.
The Individual
Possess a mix of engineering and IT skills.
BTEC/HNC in Electronic and Electrical Engineering with experience and interest in IT.
At least 1+ years' experience in a technical support/installation role preferably within electronics or Fire & Security service industries or similar but not essential.
Experience of PC-based support tools.
