The O'Brien Fine Foods Quality Graduate Growth program is a two-year program specifically designed to equip high-performing graduates with the skills and experience needed to excel in the FMCG industry and grow their career with O'Brien Fine Foods.
As a Quality graduate within the Technical team, you are responsible for working closely with the Technical team and learning the key technical roles performed by the Quality team.
Duties and responsibilities Learn and understand our raw material specification for all pork, beef and white meat supplied to our site.
Learn and understand our key processes on the production floor with the ability to identify opportunities for improvements.
Completion of quality checks throughout production with ability to be able to address issues with operatives on the production floor.
Conduct traceability audits, raising issues and closing out with team on the production floor.
Completion of SOPs by watching what is happening on the production floor and update current SOPs to reflect what 'good looks like'.
Support the Quality team with ongoing Technical projects.
General administrative tasks as required.
Assist with preparation of reports as required.
Support the Quality Team with all aspects of product quality, safety, and legality from the supplier base to the customer.
Communicate effectively to build and maintain good working relationship with internal stakeholders Learn about 'Lean' with the completion of a 'Just Do it Project' in Year 1 and a 'White and Yellow Belt' in year 2.
To participate in quality audits using learnings from training carried out on the production floor.
Cover for quality team as required.
Expectations, Qualifications Must have achieved a minimum 2.2 in a level 8 course in Food Science Candidates must speak fluent English.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Knowledge and technical understanding of Quality and Food Safety Be able to perform well under pressure.
Accurate and fine attention to detail essential Candidate will need their own transport as this role is primarily based in Timahoe, Co.
Kildare.
