We are currently recruiting a Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Narin & Portnoo Links, Clooney, An Fhearthainn, Co. Donegal, F94 F433.
This role will primarily involve Kitchen Porter duties but will also provide valuable hands-on experience in food preparation and cooking. It is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills and progress their career in a busy kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out general kitchen porter duties including cleaning, dishwashing, and maintaining kitchen hygiene standards.
* Assist chefs with basic food preparation (chopping, peeling, portioning, plating).
* Support in cooking tasks under supervision, gaining practical kitchen experience.
* Ensure all kitchen equipment and work areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standard.
* Follow food safety and hygiene procedures at all times.
* Assist in stock rotation, deliveries, and general kitchen organisation.
* Work effectively as part of a team to support smooth kitchen operations.
Experience & Requirements:
* 1–2 years' experience working in a kitchen environment, including kitchen porter duties.
* Experience in food preparation and cooking tasks is beneficial but not necessary, as full training will be provided.
* Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
