PVC Extrusion Process Technician - Manufacturing (3-Shift Rotation)
Location: Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan
A well-established and expanding global plastics manufacturing company seeking experienced PVC extrusion process technicians to join our production team in Carrickmacross. The Role
As a key member of the manufacturing team, you will be responsible for operating and optimising extrusion equipment to produce high-quality PVC foam sheet products. You will play a critical role in ensuring smooth production runs, maintaining quality standards, and driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate extrusion lines for PVC foam sheet production
Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure optimal performance
Perform efficient line start‑ups and shutdowns in line with procedures
Adjust process parameters to maintain product quality within specification
Carry out die changes as required for production runs
Conduct visual inspections and measurements to ensure defect‑free output
Identify and troubleshoot product or process issues (e.g., surface defects, colour variation, die lines)
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality
Complete quality checks and maintain accurate production and traceability records
About You
Minimum 2+ years' experience in PVC extrusion (foam sheet experience highly desirable)
Strong hands‑on experience with start‑ups, changeovers, adjustments, and troubleshooting
Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Experience in quality inspection and maintaining production records
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, continuous improvement environment
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
Ability to read, write, and perform basic calculations
Forklift experience is an advantage
