Job Title: Support Worker
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to individuals with Intellectual Disability and Mental Health Difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for providing person-centered support, delivering care and activities tailored to each individual's needs, wishes, and preferences. This will include providing personal assistance in all aspects of personal care and manual handling, ensuring comfort, hygiene, and safety.
Requirements:
* Minimum of QQI Level 5 in Social Care or equivalent
* Training in responses to behavior that challenges and medication management
* Experience of working with people with a disability
* Understanding of the principles of care and how to put them into practice
* Specialist Knowledge in Autism, Intellectual Disability, Epilepsy, and Down Syndrome
* Understanding of Safeguarding & Confidentiality
* Effective Communication Skills
