The Moriarty Group is looking for an experienced, professional and enthusiastic Meeting & Events Executive to join the Court Yard Hotel team.
This full-time role (average 42.5 hours per week, 5 days a week) focuses on maximising all sales and revenue opportunities, especially in the wedding, corporate and events markets, and growing the local leisure sector.
Responsibilities
Follow up calls on all sales leads, passing leads to hotel sales personnel/management where appropriate.
Schedule and conduct property site visits with current and prospective clients.
Monitor service quality via client feedback and communicate results to operations.
Compile weekly/monthly sales reports and a sales activity report for the Hotel Operations Director & Operations Manager.
Monitor competitor activity and provide feedback.
Plan and organise FAM trips, site inspections, sales promotions, trade exhibitions, seminars, and workshops.
Attend events held in the hotel and off-site.
Maintain regular contact with local networking groups and trade bodies.
Work closely with the marketing team to explore all local marketing opportunities in line with the Sales & Marketing plan.
Execute database marketing to target markets, including mail shots, e-zines with the marketing department and revenue manager.
Respond to all client telephone and email requests in a timely and professional manner to convert inquiries to sales.
Complete all sales administrative work, including follow-up calls and research calls.
Implement and proactively manage the hotel's annual sales activity plan.
Maximise the hotel's exposure within the market.
Maintain the group's integrity at all times.
Requirements
