Reporting to the Senior National Account Manager this person will be responsible for the development of new sales opportunities and work to maximize sales from existing customers. The Sales Manager will be focusing on the development of the Musgrave group across Ireland & NI. This is a great opportunity to for an individual to develop their sales career within the fast-moving consumer goods industry in Ireland.Key Accountabilities & ResponsibilitiesManage and develop our overall sales strategy in conjunction with the NAM.Perform research to identify consumer needs and trends and use to drive sales.Work towards a 52-week plan with all presells mapped out.Keep our supply chain and costs under constant review including direct sales from our own trucks in the Flowers business unit.Research customer and market opportunities.Negotiate and close agreements with large, medium and small customers.Work with external partners on fixture design, improvement's NPD etc.Keep up to date on new product launches and keep your sales team, BDEs and Van Sales drivers informed.Liaise with a marketing partner to leverage our brands place in the domestic market.Feedback to the NPD team on needs and wants of consumers and customers.Devise a strategy to grow sales in all our multiple customers nationwide with a specific focus on the Musgrave group in year 1.Manage a team of direct reports to ensure we are maximizing our sales opportunity.Run weekly meetings with sales team holding them to account on targets KPIs etc.Advise on ranging and in store merchandising practices.Carry out store visits Ireland, UK and Europe to identify gaps and opportunities.Delivering new customers weekly to drive our business.Set and implement sales targets for your direct reports BDEs & Van Sales to exceed the business objectives.Train your team for in store training and best practices.Keep other areas of the business informed of your team's progress through monthly/weekly reports.Ensure a market winning strategy is in place to make us first for seasonal.Changing store product mix to maximise our margin mix.Work closely with NAM to develop the best-in-class promotional mechanics to increase penetration.Ensure your team are working with stores with waste, reduction and markdown plans.Manage the fleet of Vans regarding Rental, Purchasing, Maintenance, Tax, Insurance.Build a high-performance team through individual development plans,1-2-1 coaching, clear objective setting and performance management.Compiling customer proposals.Involve the leadership team in key decisions.Attending trade fairs nationally and internationally.Introducing current customers to new products Irish and Import.Assisting our partners in driving their business.Local buying to meet niche customer requirements.Advise on customer range listings de-listings.Covering your teams sick and holiday cover.Off site management.Flexibility around events working time etc.Deliver a new customer focused end user engagement plan.Attend monthly sales meeting in conjunction with NAMS.Give direction on sales packs and drives.Provide training to those who have areas that need improvement.Act as a NAM on some of our key accounts.Have strong event strategies in place including range, budgets, space requirements extra kit, promo mechanic's and overall marketing support.Manage and track our customer and store investments including fixtures marketing kits etc.Project work internally and for customers as and when requiredEssentialKey Skills & KnowledgeEffective interpersonal skills written and verbal to communicate with peers, direct report and management team.Be able to perform well under pressure in an ever-changing environment.Highly accurate and fine attention to detail essential.DesirableCandidates must speak fluent English.
