The Role
As a
Data & AI - Life Sciences Senior Manager
, you will bring deep Life Sciences industry knowledge and digital transformation experience across core product lifecycle domains, including Process development (drug substance, drug product or analytical methods), CMC, Tech Transfer, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain.
You will lead complex Data & AI transformation programmes for pharmaceutical, Biotech, and Medtech clients, driving digital product lifecycle modernisation powered by data, analytics, and cutting-edge platforms.
You will operate at the intersection of data and process transformation, guiding Life Sciences organisations through enterprise-wide Data & AI strategy initiatives.
From R&D to commercial manufacturing and quality, you will design and deliver value-led, compliant solutions that enable innovation, speed to market, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:
Provide strategic consulting to help Life Sciences and Pharmaceutical clients develop and scale market-leading data and analytics solutions across their manufacturing processes and product lifecycle—from development through commercialisation
Shape and deliver Data & AI transformation programmes across R&D, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain functions for Life Sciences clients.
Work with the Data & AI Life Sciences Lead to oversee the Life Sciences Data & AI practice and drive strategic growth within the Irish market, ensuring alignment with the broader organisational goals.
Act as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives and senior business leaders (VPs, Heads of process development/CMC/Manufacturing/Quality), providing guidance on AI, data science, and analytics strategies that drive business transformation.
Develop long-term client relationships by identifying opportunities to apply AI, data-driven insights, and GenAI solutions to key business challenges, resulting in measurable outcomes.
Lead the development of AI and analytics roadmaps, aligning solutions with clients' strategic goals and business needs.
Drive the delivery of cutting-edge AI, machine learning, and GenAI solutions across multiple client engagements, ensuring technical excellence and practical applicability.
Provide thought leadership in emerging AI trends, technologies, and methodologies, including GenAI, helping clients adopt state-of-the-art approaches.
Oversee the development and deployment of machine learning models, algorithms, data pipelines, and GenAI solutions, ensuring they are scalable, explainable, and ethical.
Lead multiple, complex AI and analytics projects, including those involving GenAI, ensuring successful execution from inception through to delivery.
Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, AI experts, consultants, and engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
Develop talent by providing coaching, feedback, and career development opportunities, ensuring that the team grows and maintains cutting-edge skills.
Leverage AI, advanced analytics, and Gen AI to enable predictive manufacturing, digital quality, and smart regulatory submissions.
Partner with internal teams across Data & AI, Cloud, and Industry X to co-create innovative, integrated solutions.
Collaborate with other senior leaders across the organization to shape internal AI capabilities and ensure knowledge sharing across teams.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, and AI, with at least 5 years in a leadership or senior management role, ideally within a consultancy or client-facing environment.
Proven expertise in the Life Sciences industry with deep knowledge across core product lifecycle domains, including Process Development (drug substance, drug product, or analytical methods), CMC, Tech Transfer, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain, combined with a strong track record in driving digital transformation initiatives.
Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale AI and data science projects, including managing multiple senior stakeholders, including C-suite level.
Demonstrated experience managing multi-disciplinary teams across data science, engineering, and consulting functions.
Strong business development experience, including leading client pitches, winning new business, and expanding relationships with key stakeholders.
Expert-level knowledge of machine learning algorithms, AI technologies, and big data platforms (e.g., Python, R, SQL, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Spark).
Extensive experience with cloud platforms and services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for AI and data analytics.
Deep understanding of data governance, model explainability, AI ethics, and regulatory compliance in AI.
Ability to drive innovation through emerging AI technologies (e.g., NLP, computer vision, reinforcement learning).
