Shift Details
* Shift Length: 7 hours
* Shift Time: 15:00 - 22:00
* Days per Week: 1-2 shifts available
* Job Types: Full-time, Permanent (though part‑time roles exist)
Role Overview
To provide safe, quality, person‑centred care to a child within their home environment. The successful candidate will be part of a nurse‑led care team providing clinical care in a home setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in paediatric care and be able to work flexible hours, including day and night shifts.
Responsibilities
* Provide nursing care to a child
* Gastrostomy tube feeds via feeding pump
* Competent in all tracheostomy care, changing of ties, suctioning and changing tube in an emergency situation
* Management and administration of nebs and suctioning
* Monitoring for signs and symptoms of respiratory distress
* Pressure area care
* Medication Management
* Seizure management
* Care of a child with a disability
* Manage enteral feeding and medication
* Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
* Provide play and family support
* Provide excellent evidence‑based nursing care, implementing all aspects of care plans based on the needs identified.
* Prioritise the needs and comfort of the client.
* Promote abilities, independence, and safeguard the client's interests at all times
* Work closely in partnership with family members and the clinical team
* Communicate effectively with the client, family, clinical team, and MDT, reporting on the client's clinical needs as required.
* Maintain accurate and professional clinical notes

Qualifications & Experience
* Current registration on the live register of NMBI
* RGN/RCN trained
* Paediatric nursing experience is desirable
* Previous experience in home care is an advantage; full training and support provided
