Job Title: Database Systems Specialist
We are looking for an experienced professional to join our team as a Database Systems Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing complex databases that provide healthcare applications and data.
This includes installing and administering operational database environments based on Inter Systems IRIS, and performing environment setup and configuration, proactive monitoring, and maintenance.
You will work closely with our team to create and manage the operational database environments that serve production, reporting, disaster recovery, training, and non-production needs.
In addition, you will apply Inter Systems IRIS and Epic upgrades and updates to production and non-production environments, install and maintain administrative and monitoring tools necessary for high levels of availability and performance of healthcare IT systems.
You will also understand performance metrics, monitor system performance, and troubleshoot issues. Configuring and maintaining environment copies according to the environment strategy is also a key responsibility of this role.
Engaging in capacity planning exercises to ensure adequate system resources and helping manage the Change Control processes for all Epic environments build migration and technical activities are other duties you will perform.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Degree qualified in a relevant field such as Data Science or STEM subject.
* Strong Linux administration skills, including experience with command line tools, scripting, and troubleshooting.
