The Security Manager for a pharmaceutical client will supervise and safeguard the client's premises across Ireland, overseeing security programs, implementing best practices, and responding to threats to protect assets, employees, and intellectual property.
Responsibilities include:
1. Represent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
2. Operate the GSOC in shift patterns as required.
3. Provide high-quality service to local and remote client sites, ensuring the security of staff, assets, and information.
4. Monitor alarms, notifications, and surveillance systems in real-time.
5. Conduct event security monitoring and respond to incidents per SOPs.
6. Support travel and journey management with employee tracking and risk assessments.
7. Manage access control to sensitive areas.
8. Maintain logs of activities, incidents, and responses.
9. Assist in preparing reports and identifying trends.
10. Coordinate with stakeholders and emergency services.
11. Participate in training to stay updated on security trends.
12. Support the GSOC Manager and Lead Analysts.
13. Maintain awareness of the environment to promote safety.
14. Adopt a proactive approach to security standards.
15. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum requirements:
* At least 2 years’ experience in security operations or equivalent education/experience.
* Relevant security certifications are desirable.
* Effective communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
* Proficiency with security systems and tools.
* Experience in security analysis, incident assessment, and report triaging.
* Ability to produce clear verbal and written reports independently.
* Confidentiality and attention to detail.
* Teamwork and independent judgment skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies calmly.
Working conditions:
* Capacity to perform all essential functions physically and mentally.
* Regular use of computers and manual dexterity for tasks like reaching and operating equipment.
* Visual focus adjustment and ability to sit, stand, or walk frequently.
* Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
* Travel as required.
