Job Responsibilities

* Lead comprehensive geriatric assessments for patients across acute inpatient services and rehabilitation settings;

* Develop and implement integrated age-friendly care pathways in accordance with relevant national clinical programs;

* Collaborate with community services, including public health nurses, GPs, and reablement teams;

* Provide inpatient consultations across medical and surgical wards;

* Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and family case conferences;

* Supervise and teach junior doctors and other health professionals;

Required Skills and Qualifications

* Registration as a specialist in the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland or working towards Specialist Registration IMC;

* Certified training and specialist experience in geriatric and general internal medicine;
