Senior EHS Advisor
Location: Dublin, Ireland (Fully Site Based)
An established international engineering contractor is seeking to recruit a Senior Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Advisor to join its expanding safety function on a site-based role in Ireland.
Overview of Duties -
· Conduct regular site audits and inspections to ensure compliance with
· company and client health & safety procedures
· Assist with accident and incident investigations, including root cause analysis
· Support the auditing and assessment of new contractors prior to site commencement
· Develop and implement behavioural safety initiatives and deliver related training
· Manage and maintain EHS documentation in support of an integrated safety management system
· Deliver site-based health & safety induction programmes
· Prepare and deliver training courses, including competency assessments
· Represent the EHS function at site meetings
· Review Safe Work Plans (SWPs) and task-specific documentation
· Compile and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
· Provide EHS guidance and direction to site personnel as required
· Collate relevant EHS documentation for project handover to the client
· Track, compile, and report weekly KPIs to senior management
Key Requiements -
· Recognised third-level qualification in Health & Safety (minimum QQI Level 7 or equivalent)
· Certified First Aid Responder
· Minimum of 5 years’ EHS experience within construction, ideally mechanical and electrical environments
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Excellent organisational, planning, training, teamwork, and presentation skills
· High level of literacy, numeracy, and IT skills, including Microsoft Office and document control systems
· Full, clean driving licence
· Flexible approach to work in line with business requirements
· Ability to represent the organisation professionally at all times
