As a Yard Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our yard and stores.
Your main responsibilities will include loading and offloading deliveries, checking and storing incoming stock, maintaining a tidy and obstruction-free yard.Responsibilities:Efficiently load and offload deliveries, adhering to safety protocols.Ensure that deliveries are thoroughly checked upon arrival and stored correctly.Maintain accurate records of received stock and update inventory systems accordingly.Organise and arrange stock in the yard and stores for easy access and efficient retrieval.Keep the yard and stores clean, tidy, and free of obstructions to ensure a safe working environment.Operate a forklift to move and transport materials within the yard if required.Comply with health and safety regulations and help to foster a culture of safety among team members.Assist with general warehouse duties as required.Requirements:Previous experience as a Yard Operative or in a similar role is preferredFull Irish driver's license essential.Due to insurance considerations, preference will be given to applicants aged 25 and above, in order to comply with our insurance policies and coverage requirements.Manual Handling certification and forklift license desirable but not required as training can be provided.Knowledge of proper loading and unloading techniques for different types of materials.Excellent organisational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.Attention to detail to ensure accurate checking and storing of incoming stock.Knowledge of health and safety regulations and ability to adhere to them.Proactive approach to maintaining a clean and tidy working environment.Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
