Summary of Function and Specific Responsibilities
The role reports to the PCB Production Supervisor, will support normal production activities as required.
Specific Responsibilities
* Operate assembly equipment required to complete specified tasks.
* Prepare components for manual assembly.
* Operate PCB cleaning and baking equipment.
* Use torque tools for assembly of specific fasteners.
* Perform manual assembly of PCBs and some mechanical hardware to formal assembly procedures, process procedures, assembly drawings and SOPs.
* Typical components handled will be printed circuit cards and electronic components.
* Application of adhesives and conformal coatings.
* Prototype assembly work under engineering control.
* Set up equipment and carry out process related measurements as required.
* Perform operator machine maintenance as specified.
* Inspect and rework PCBs and components as per established criteria.
* Typical other items used will be specified safety equipment worn during maintenance.
* Completion of all necessary production related documentation.
* Use our ERP system to transact work orders.
* Adherence to all necessary requirements relating to personal tool maintenance, anti‑static precaution, safety and housekeeping.
Specific equipment training will be provided.
Preferable Qualifications & Skills
* Knowledge of IPC‑7711/IPC‑7721 and IPC J‑Standard and their application.
Work Environment
* The role may involve standing or sitting for extended periods of time, fine dexterity tasks, manual handling activities, working with VDU/DSE, repetitive movements, working with controlled chemicals.
Ideal Candidate
* Proven track record of commitment to both quality and production goals.
* Positive, flexible approach with good interpersonal skills.
* A minimum of 2 to 3 years relevant experience/knowledge of assembly functions would be preferable.
* Detail oriented.
* Problem solving capabilities.
* Good time management.
* Personable, able to comfortably and pleasantly deal with a variety of people.
