Kilkenny and is the sole distributor for Tesab Engineering products on the island of Ireland.Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Field Service Engineer to provide technical support, maintenance, and repair services for heavy machinery and equipment used in the quarry, construction and recycling industry. The role will mainly focus on the service, repair and maintenance of the Tesab range of crushing, screening and conveying equipment and involves traveling to customer sites, diagnosing issues, conducting repairs, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring optimal equipment performance.Key Responsibilities:Installation, Commissioning & Testing of quarry and construction machinery (e.g., crushers, screeners, excavators, conveyors).Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and control system faults both in the field and remotely.Conduct preventive and reactive maintenance on-site with minimal supervision.Complete technical service reports, documentation, and job logs accurately and on time.Ensure equipment complies with safety and operational standards post-service.Provide customer support and training on machinery operation and basic maintenance.Liaise with internal teams (parts, technical support, sales) to coordinate efficient service delivery.Maintain tools, service vehicle, and equipment in safe working order.Promote company brand and service excellence with professional conduct on-site.Requirements:Education & Experience:Technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering.Minimum 3 years of field service experience working with heavy plant, quarry, or construction equipment.Familiarity with equipment such as jaw crushers, impactors, screens, conveyors, loaders, and excavators.Skills & Competencies:Must have a good knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical troubleshooting and repair.Must be competent in following electrical and hydraulic schematic diagrams to diagnose faults.Comfortable working in remote or rugged outdoor environments.Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.Strong communication and customer service skills.Good IT literacy for reporting and diagnostic tools.Full Irish driving licence.Desirable (Not Essential):Knowledge of OEM systems (e.g., Caterpillar, Sandvik, Metso, Terex, Tesab).Forklift, crane, or other heavy machinery certifications.Experience with PLC or CANbus control systems.Benefits:Competitive salary, commensurate with experience.Company service vehicle, tools, phone, and laptop.Training and professional development opportunities.PPE and uniform provided.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: €45,000.00-€60,000.00 per yearApplication question(s):What is your current salary?Why are you leaving your current role?What is your notice period?Work Location: In person
