Job Description:
This role entails revisiting course materials with students on an individual basis, recapping material covered in lectures, and preparing tutorial plans that align with student objectives. Effective tutors will engage in thorough research to gather necessary resources, identify learning and teaching methods, and create stimulating learning environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Engage students in one-to-one sessions to review course materials and reinforce concepts covered in lectures.
* Develop tailored tutorial plans, establish clear objectives with students, and conduct research to gather relevant information prior to sessions.
* Facilitate discussions on areas of difficulty, assist students in developing effective learning strategies, and foster interactive learning experiences.
* Support exam revision, provide guidance on performance enhancement skills, and offer constructive feedback to students.
Requirements:
* Hold a graduate degree in the relevant subject area, with expertise in module content, assessment procedures, and subject-specific knowledge.
* While previous tutoring experience is desirable, it is not mandatory for applicants.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
* Exhibit flexibility and adaptability when working with diverse learners, demonstrating the ability to guide students in their academic writing according to provided guidelines.
Contract duration and end date will be in line with the Academic Year 2025/2026, with an intended conclusion date of August 14th, 2026.
