Join a busy sawmill plant as a skilled Maintenance Fitter, ensuring mechanical systems and equipment run efficiently and safely. Ideal for those with strong heavy-industry maintenance experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Diagnose, repair, and maintain plant equipment.
* Perform preventative and predictive maintenance.
* Respond to mechanical breakdowns.
* Work on motors, gearboxes, hydraulics/pneumatics, mobile plant, and boiler systems.
* Fabricate or modify parts (milling, turning, welding).
* Support plant upgrades and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
* Time-served Mechanical Fitter (Mechanical Automation, Maintenance, or similar).
* 5+ years' post-qualification experience, ideally in heavy industry.
* Safety training (e.g., Safe Pass, MEWP) is advantageous.
* Comfortable working indoors/outdoors year-round.
* Valid driving license and forklift license preferred.
