Overview
The post holder will be responsible for managing the transport department in the hospital complex. They will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to assist in providing health and social care for service users, ensuring a high-quality, customer-focused service.
The role includes supervision and day-to-day management of the transport department and portering service throughout the hospital. The hours are over a seven-day period, with night shifts required.

Essential Criteria
This campaign is confined to staff currently employed by the HSE, TUSLA, other statutory health agencies, or bodies providing services on behalf of the HSE under Section 38 of the Health Act 2004.
Eligible applicants will be those who:
* Have satisfactory experience as a Clerical Officer in the HSE, TUSLA, other statutory health agencies, or similar bodies.
* Have obtained a pass (Grade D) in at least five subjects in the Department of Education Leaving Certificate Examination, including Mathematics and English or Irish, with at least Grade C on higher level papers in three subjects.
* Have completed a relevant examination at a comparable standard elsewhere.
* Hold a relevant third-level qualification of at least level 6 on the QQI framework.
Post Specific Requirements
* Satisfactory experience managing a Transport Department or Portering Services in a healthcare setting.
* Financial experience including managing costings, budgets, and financial decisions.
Other Requirements
* Valid C1 clean Driving Licence.
