The county is divided into the three Municipal Districts of Tullamore, Birr and Edenderry with the local authority administrative headquarters located in Tullamore.At a strategic level, the Council operate through its Corporate Policy Group comprising the Cathaoirleach of the Council and the Chairs of the local authority's four Strategic Policy Committees as well as a Municipal District representative. The Chief Executive and his/her Management Team play a key role in supporting the advising this policy group.About the Role:Offaly County Council is seeking a Regional Enterprise Plan Programme Manager (Midlands Region) - Offaly County Council who will co-ordinate and manage the implementation of the Regional Enterprise Plan in the Midlands Region (Laois/Offaly/Westmeath/Longford) and report to the Director of Services of Economic Development in Offaly County Council.The role will involve assisting with the development, establishment, and servicing of appropriate structures to support the sub-committees and developing specific actions and targets to facilitate the enterprise and economic development, branding and promotion of the Region.The Regional Enterprise Plan Programme Manager (Midlands Region) Offaly County Council will be expected to engage at a senior level with relevant stakeholders including, among others, DETE, Local Authorities, Enterprise Ireland, IDA Ireland, HEIs, ETBs, tourism agencies, industry leaders, Chambers of Commerce, and the broader business community in the implementation of the Regional Enterprise Plan. The Regional Enterprise Programme Manager (Midlands Region) Offaly County Council will work closely with the Regional Skills Forum Manager to ensure an integrated approach to skills development supporting job creation in the region.The Regional Enterprise Plan Programme Manager (Midlands Region) Offaly County Council. will be required to make a valuable contribution to the strategic economic growth of the Region through leading the delivery of the actions contained in the WREP.
