Technical Product Manager (Contract)

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager to join a dynamic delivery team within a regulated environment. This role will focus on driving the definition, delivery, and optimisation of data-centric and integrated technology solutions, working closely with engineering, data, and business stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent stakeholder management skills, and experience operating within financial services or insurance environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical strategy
* Translate business and regulatory requirements into clear product features and user stories
* Work closely with engineering teams to deliver solutions using Agile methodologies
* Lead analysis of legacy systems and define integration approaches with modern platforms
* Drive data-focused initiatives, including:
* Data governance, classification, and retention principles
* Data quality, lineage, and usage considerations
* Support system integration activities across multiple platforms and services
* Facilitate workshops and ceremonies (backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews)
* Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and expectation management
* Use tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro (or similar) to manage delivery and documentation
Required Experience & Skills
* Proven experience as a Technical Product Manager or similar role
* Strong hands-on experience with SQL or data querying tools
* Solid understanding of:
* Data governance frameworks
* Data classification and retention policies
* System integration and API-based architectures
* Experience analysing and working with legacy systems
* Strong Agile delivery experience (Scrum/Kanban)
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Proficiency with Jira and Confluence
* Experience in financial services or insurance environments
