Elusav Recruitment have an excellent opportunity for a Buyer to join a brand new data centre project with one of Europe's most well respected Engineering contractors, based in Leixlip, Kildare.
As the Buyer you will be responsible for delivering best in class performance through professional, competitive and efficient buying processes, controls and systems for their project(s), leading and mentoring junior procurement personnel.
Responsibilities: Responsible for procurement to pay process from Sourcing to invoice clearance.
Conduct complex bid process for equipment, materials and / or services and do commercial evaluations.
Create Procurement Schedules with project teams and planning function.
Write Procurement Project Execution Plans.
Develop procurement strategy for core commodities.
Based full time on site working closely with site commercial and construction teams.
Secure the quality and timely delivery of goods and/or services required for assigned projects.
Ensure materials / services are procured on time and within the budget confinements.
Assist in the reallocation or disposal of excess materials.
Ensure that the Authority Matrix is followed stringently.
Create internal reports.
Expected to work with only general supervision.
Mentoring and potentially leading junior procurement personnel.
Identify new supplier sources and recommend new sourcing strategies in assigned area.
Co-ordinate the logistics of goods and/services required for assigned projects.
Conduct external reporting (Outside of Procurement Department).
Assist in proposals support when required.
Work with other buyers and Line Manager to eliminate wasteful processes.
Perform other duties as assigned by Line Manager.
Requirements: Must have construction MEP Buying experience.
Experience in a similar role within an engineering or construction company.
A third level qualification preferably in supply chain or other related discipline.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Minimum of 5 years' work experience in a similar role.
Ability to prioritize workload efficiently.
Previous ERP experience.
