Arcon Recruitment is seeking an Accounts Payable professional to join a well-established construction company based in Co. Mayo. This is a maternity leave contract, offering a great opportunity for an experienced finance or accounts candidate to work within a dynamic and supportive environment.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts payable function, ensuring that supplier payments are processed accurately and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience within a busy construction-related finance team in Mayo.
Key Responsibilities
Process supplier invoices, purchase orders, and credit notes
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
Prepare and process weekly and monthly payment runs
Liaise with internal departments and suppliers to handle queries
Support the month‑end close and assist with reporting as required
Maintain accurate financial records and supplier files
Key Requirements
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Accounts Payable or similar finance role
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in the construction or engineering industry is a distinct advantage
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
