This is a Casual contract role for a Theatre Healthcare Assistant at UPMC Kildare Hospital. The successful candidate will support the nursing team and consultants within Theatre, preparing theatres for surgery, assisting with patient transfers, and ensuring a clean and sterile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare theatres for surgery and assist in transferring patients to and from theatre.
* Maintain a clean and sterile theatre environment.
* Liaise with anaesthetic nurses and ensure special requirements are met.
* Transport patients to and from day surgery and in-patient wards.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
* Relevant FETAC Level 5 qualification.
* At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
* Strong organisation and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
